Hi everyone,

I’m picking up my GT convertible next week and I’ve already reserved a custom license plate for it. The plate I ordered comes in either 42 cm or 46 cm sizes, but the Mustang’s front license plate bracket is designed for a 52 cm plate. If I install a shorter plate, the bracket will extend on both sides, which would look pretty awkward.

Does anyone know what’s behind that bracket? Is it possible to remove the holder and mount the plate directly to the bumper? Or does anyone know if there’s a shorter version of this license plate bracket available
